Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of Biblios. By using the app you agree to them, so please read them.
Last updated: September 29, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Biblios Technologies LLC, a Georgia limited liability company (“Biblios”, “we”, “us”), governing your access to and use of www.bibliosbible.com and the Biblios application (the “Service”).
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Your account
You can use most of the Service without an account. If you create one by signing in with Google, you are responsible for the security of the Google account used to access it and for activity that occurs through your account.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, or where we are required to by law.
4. Your content
Notes, highlights, study work, and anything else you create in the Service remain yours. We claim no ownership of your content.
You grant us only the limited licence necessary to operate the Service for you: to store, back up, transmit, and display your content to you and across your devices, and to process it through the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy. This licence exists solely to run the Service and ends when you delete the content or your account.
We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not publish or share it with other users.
You are responsible for your content, and you agree not to store content through the Service that is unlawful or that infringes someone else’s rights.
5. AI-generated content
Parts of the Service generate text using third-party AI models — including study questions, study plans, rhythm plans, and word definitions. You must understand the following before relying on any of it:
- AI-generated content can be wrong. It may misstate history, context, grammar, or the meaning of a word, and it may state errors confidently.
- It is offered as a study aid to prompt your own reading of Scripture. It is not doctrinal teaching, theological authority, or a substitute for Scripture itself, for your own study, or for the counsel of your church community.
- It is provided for general informational and devotional purposes only. It is not professional, legal, medical, financial, or mental-health advice, and must not be relied on as such.
- Verify anything that matters against the biblical text and trusted scholarship.
Consistent with our stated values, Biblios is designed to raise questions rather than hand down answers. Treat every generated output accordingly.
6. Scripture text and third-party materials
English Scripture text in the Service is the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), produced in cooperation with Bible Hub, Discovery Bible, OpenBible.com, and the Berean Bible Translation Committee. The BSB text was placed into the public domain on April 30, 2023, and no licence or permission is required to use it. We credit it because the translation committee asks that we do, not because we are obliged to.
Hebrew and Greek lexicon data is from STEP Bible by Tyndale House, Cambridge, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). We have normalized its markup to plain text and excluded the TBESH Meaning column. That data remains subject to CC BY 4.0, and anyone reusing it from us must carry the same attribution. Other lexical material used in the Service is in the public domain.
Except for that third-party material and your own content, the Service — including its software, design, text, and branding — is owned by Biblios Technologies LLC and protected by intellectual-property law. You may not copy, scrape, resell, or create derivative works from the Service, except that you may freely quote and share Scripture and export your own study work for personal, non-commercial use.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service unlawfully or to infringe anyone’s rights;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other users’ data, or our systems;
- Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract content, or circumvent rate limits;
- Use the Service to generate or distribute unlawful, harassing, or deliberately deceptive material;
- Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
8. Donations
Donations support the mission of Biblios and are processed by Stripe. Unless stated otherwise at the time you give, donations are voluntary, are not a purchase of goods or services, and are non-refundable. Donations are not tax-deductible unless we expressly say so; Biblios Technologies LLC is a limited liability company, not a tax-exempt charitable organisation.
If you believe a donation was made in error or without authorisation, contact us at hello@bibliostechnologies.com and we will review it in good faith.
9. Availability
The Service is provided free of charge and we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may impose rate limits on features that rely on paid third-party capacity.
Please keep your own copies of study work that matters to you. We are not a backup service.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT — INCLUDING AI-GENERATED CONTENT — WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Biblios Technologies LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID OR DONATED TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Biblios Technologies LLC from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Biblios agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Georgia for any dispute that is not otherwise resolved.
Before filing anything, please email us at hello@bibliostechnologies.com. Most problems are faster to fix directly, and we would genuinely rather hear from you.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will give notice in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
15. General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
